DL&R Air Ambulance is our Nominated Charity for 2017January 27, 2017 4:47 pm
As you may recall, last year our Office Manager, Ruth, threw herself out of a plane in aid of Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance – click here for photographic evidence.
This year, Quantus has nominated The Air Ambulance Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland as our Charity of the Year. The service, alongside the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire team, provides a rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over an area of 3850 square miles covering many of the UK’s major road networks including the M1, M6, M69 and M42. With an average response of just 13 minutes, between them they attend on average 6 missions a day.
We will continue to hold fundraising events through out the year. Our first event is a Mobile Phone Amnesty. Over February and March we will be collecting old and unwanted mobile phones that will be securely cleansed and can then be sold on to raise funds. If you have any old phones that you would like to donate, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
